Tony Parker out for the rest of the postseason with torn quadriceps tendon

The injury that Tony Parker sustained with just under minutes in the fourth quarter of last night’s game had been diagnosed as a torn quadriceps tendon. The injury will require surgery and also means that Parker will miss the rest of the postseason.

The Spurs will now have to turn to back-up Patty Mills as the likely started at the point guard spot. Mills recorded seven assists in game two for San Antonio. Manu Ginobili will also see a minutes increase to share the back court duties with Mills. Greg Popovich will have his selection between Johnathon Simmons, Dejounte Murray and, Kyle Anderson to fill the remaining supporting minutes in the back court.

That Tony Parker injury was a huge disappointment. Thankfully the Spurs have good depth. By the way I love your site Chevy. Great content.
