LOUISVILLE (-4.5) at GEORGIA TECH

In the battle for redemption between two teams fighting to get their second victory of the season, I am rooting for the road dogs. While the Cardinals have dropped back-to-back games after their season opener, they did so against two of the better teams in the ACC (Miami and Pitt). Furthermore, (and I know he has not been stellar), I trust QB Malik Cunningham and his arsenal of offensive weapons more than Georgia Tech’s defense. Get this, the Yellow Jackets defense allows a whopping 441.3 yards a game, making them one of the worst in the entire FBS. – Rhoby Sala

PICK: LOUISVILLE -4.5

Kickoff: Friday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m.

Where to watch: ESPN

Records Overall: Louisville (1-2), Georgia Tech (1-2)

Records ATS: Louisville (1-1-1), Georgia Tech (1-2)

CFB Betting Locks & Predictions - Virginia Tech Hokies
Head Coach Justin Fuente and the Hokies take on the Tar Heels this weekend.

#19 VIRGINIA TECH at #8 NORTH CAROLINA (-4.5)

I like Virginia Tech to win outright against the Tar Heels this week. UNC did not look overly impressive in their wins over Boston College and Syracuse. The Hokies also have UNC’s number after winning their last meeting in SIX overtimes! – John Glowatz

PICK: VIRGINIA TECH +4.5

Kickoff: Saturday, Oct. 11 at 12 p.m.

Where to watch: ABC

Records Overall: Virginia Tech (2-0), North Carolina (2-0)

Records ATS: Virginia Tech (1-1), North Carolina (1-1)

#4 FLORIDA at #21 TEXAS A&M

As a Miami fan I hate to admit it, but boy, are those Gators looking good this season. But before we can count them as contenders along with Clemson and Alabama, they must win in College Station convincingly. They will be up against a much tougher defensive front and will have to do a better job at not letting A&M play catch-up in the 4th quarter. However, the Aggies are still finding their groove on both ends of the ball and won’t find any more confidence against the deadly combination of the Kyles at Florida (QB Kyle Trask & TE Kyle Pitts). – Rhoby Sala

PICK: FLORIDA -6.5

Kickoff: Saturday, Oct. 10 Noon ET

Where to watch: ESPN

Records Overall: Florida (2-0), Texas A&M (1-1)

Records ATS: Florida (1-1), Texas A&M (0-2)
