Nuggets and Jazz first-round predictions
The Denver Nuggets swept the Jazz 3-0 in the regular season but expect a closer first-round series. They are missing both Gary Harris and Will Barton who have missed all the seeding games.
Fortunately for them, Michael Porter Jr has emerged as a bonafide baller. He seems to work very well with Jokic who has found him all over the court scoring in a variety of ways. Gobert will have to improve his perimeter defense to contain Jokic.
Mike Conley has entered the second season refocused and ready to lead. I expect Donovan Mitchell to give the Denver guards plenty of trouble living at the free-throw line. These teams played a double OT game in the bubble with the Nuggets coming out on top.
I believe the series will come down to the health of both Harris and Barton. If they are back and ready to go, it makes Denver an even deeper team. The Jazz will need to get solid bench production from Jordan Clarkson for this team to score the series upset. That’s highly unlikely being that Denver has way too many bodies who can create their own offense.
