Cody Bellinger First Dodger Rookie to Hit for Cycle

Tonight in the 7th inning of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Miami Marlins game, Cody Bellinger tripled in a run giving him his fourth hit of the game in just four at bats. This was a special triple for Bellinger, as he already had a single, double, and home run to that point in the game, giving him the first cycle of his career.

This is also the first cycle for a Dodgers player since Orlando Hudson did it in the home opener back in 2009.

According to Eric Stephen of TrueBlueLA, this is the 10th cycle in Dodgers history, going back to Brooklyn days.

Bellinger’s up to date triple slash line is now .272/.350/.642. This season is just getting ridiculous for the just turned 22 year old.

The cycle for Bellinger also gives the MLB their fifth of the season joining Wil Myers, Trea Turner, Carlos Gomez, and most recently Nolan Arenado.
